Mega!
Endlich kein ekliger Fisch / Algengeruch- & Geschmack!!! Es schmeckt nur nach Zitrone, sehr lecker! Einfache Einnahme durch den beigefügten Dosierlöffel. Gute Dosierung!
Breastfeeding mothers should take 200 mg DHA daily in addition to the daily dose of 250 mg EPA + DHA recommended for adults. This contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the foetus and breastfed infant.
Firstly, omega-3 fatty acids are an important component of the cell membrane that surrounds each of the approximately 30 trillion cells in our body. In addition, the body uses EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) to form signalling substances for the transmission of stimuli from cell to cell. These play an important role in inhibiting inflammation and regulating the cardiovascular system, among other things.
No health benefits are known for the omega-3 fatty acid α-linolenic acid (ALA) contained in vegetable oils. Unfortunately, the body can only convert ALA into the biologically active omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA to a very limited extent. Only fish and other marine organisms contain EPA and DHA in relevant quantities; vegetable oils do not contain any EPA and DHA.
To ensure an adequate supply of EPA and DHA, many nutritional organisations recommend eating at least two meals of (preferably oily) fish per week. This results in an approximate average intake of 500 mg EPA and DHA per day. However, current studies indicate that intakes of over 1,000 mg EPA+DHA (= 6 ml MarisPlus) bring greater health benefits. Average daily intakes of up to 5,000 mg EPA+DHA are considered safe.
Omega-3 fatty acids are absorbed most quickly by the body in combination with meals. Due to its excellent taste, MarisPlus is ideal for adding to dairy products such as yoghurt or quark or to smoothies and protein shakes.
Today, all high-quality omega-3 oils are freed from environmental contaminants (e.g. heavy metals, PCBs and dioxins, mineral oil residues) during the manufacturing process in accordance with legal requirements. A special process is used for MarisPlus that allows us to fall below the legal limits by a factor of up to 100.
All natural oils contain dozens of different fatty acids, which are linked together in combinations of three, the so-called triglycerides. Each natural oil has a specific triglyceride composition, i.e. certain combinations of 3 occur particularly frequently. Oils with a natural triglyceride form, as found in MarisPlus, are characterised by particularly good bioavailability compared to other oils.
Natural fish oil, as used in the production of MarisPlus, contains around 20-30% EPA+DHA in natural triglyceride form. Omega-3 concentrates with generally 50-80% EPA+DHA, on the other hand, are synthetic oils obtained from fish oil by chemical modification. Even if many manufacturers label their omega-3 concentrates as ‘natural’ or as ‘fish oils’ or ‘triglycerides’: EPA and DHA are present here in the form of mixtures of so-called ‘re-esterified’ triglycerides with mono- and diglycerides; a form of omega-3 with a random fatty acid structure that does not occur in nature.
Many fish stocks are endangered due to decades of overfishing. That is why we at MarisPlus make sure that only fish from sustainably managed stocks, caught using sustainable methods, is processed. We regularly audit the processing plants and check catch certificates to ensure that the highest sustainability standards are met.
